Temporary Lane Closures of N Himes Avenue and I-275 Southbound Off-ramp to begin June 13, 2018 for Road Maintenance

A portion of N Himes Avenue between W Columbus Drive and W Cypress Street and the I-275 southbound off-ramp will close beginning on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, for paving.  One (1) southbound lane on N Himes Avenue between the I-275 southbound off-ramp and the I-275 northbound on-ramp will close at 3 pm on June 13, 2018.  A City contractor will be paving and restriping N Himes Avenue between the I-275 southbound off-ramp and the I-275 northbound on-ramp.  One (1) of the two (2) southbound left turn lanes on N Himes Avenue will remain open at all times during construction, with delays. 

Additionally, a portion of the I-275 southbound off-ramp will close at the intersection of N Himes Avenue for paving.  The center lane of the I-275 southbound off-ramp onto southbound N Himes Avenue will be closed at 3 pm on June 13, 2018.

All lanes on N Himes Avenue and on the I-275 southbound off-ramp are expected to open to traffic by 4 pm on Thursday, June 14, 2018, weather permitting. 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.   Southbound motorists can use N Dale Mabry Highway between W Columbus Drive and W Cypress Street in lieu of N Himes Avenue, to access northbound I-275.
