Temporary Lane Closures of N Jefferson Street to begin May 6, 2019 for Utility Maintenance

(This is a revision to a Traffic Advisory issued on January 4, 2019)

 A portion of N Jefferson Street between E Brorein Street and E Jackson Street will close for one (1) night from 9 pm to 6 am on Monday, May 6, 2019  for utility maintenance.  A City contractor will be relining sewer lines in N Jefferson Street between E Brorein Street and E Washington Street. One (1) northbound lane on N Jefferson Street between E Brorein Street and E Washington Street and one (1) southbound lane on N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Whiting Street will close at 9 pm on May 6, 2019 until 6 am the following morning.

 

One (1) northbound lane on N Jefferson Street between E Brorein Street and E Washington Street and one (1) southbound lane on N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Whiting Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

 

The crosswalk on the south side of E Whiting Street at the intersection of N Jefferson Street will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

 

All lanes on N Jefferson Street between E Brorein Street and E Jackson Street will reopen to traffic by 6 am on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, weather permitting.

 

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
