Temporary Lane Closures N Lois Avenue to begin July 29, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Lois  Avenue between I-275 and W Kennedy Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.  A private contractor will be installing a small wireless facility on the west side of N Lois Avenue between W Gray Street and W Fig Street.  One (1) southbound lane of N Lois Avenue between W Carmen Street and W Fig Street and one (1) northbound lane of N Lois Avenue between W North B Street and W Gray Street will close at 9 am beginning on July 29, 2020.

One (1) southbound lane of N Lois Avenue between W Carmen Street and W Fig Street and one (1) northbound lane of N Lois Avenue between W North B Street and W Gray Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

It is anticipated that all lanes on N Lois Avenue between W Carmen Street and W North B Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, August 7, 2020, weather permitting. 

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. 

Southbound and northbound motorists and trucks can use N Dale Mabry Highway or N West Shore Boulevard between W Cypress Street and W Kennedy Boulevard in lieu of N Lois Avenue.
