Temporary Lane Closures on N Morgan Street and on N Marion Street to begin March 5, 2018 for Building Maintenance

A portion of N Morgan Street between Scott Street and E Tyler Street and a portion of N Marion Street between E Tyler Street and Scott Street will close beginning on Monday, March 5, 2018 for building maintenance.  A private contractor will replace bricks and paint the exterior of Metro 510 building located at the corner of N Morgan Street and E Harrison Street.

 

The southbound lane on N Morgan Street between E Fortune Street and E Harrison Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on March 5, 2018.  Traffic on N Morgan Street between E  Fortune Street and E Harrison Street will be maintained on the east side of the road, at all times with delays. N Morgan Street between E Fortune Street and E Harrison Street is scheduled to be open by 4 pm on Friday, March 30, 2018, weather permitting.

 

The westbound lane on E Harrison Street between N Morgan Street and N Marion Street will also close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on March 5, 2018.  Traffic on E Harrison Street between N Morgan Street and N Marion Street will be maintained on the south side of the road, at all times with delays. It is anticipated that all lanes on E Harrison Street will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, March 9, 2018.

 

The northbound lane on N Marion Street between E Harrison Street and E Fortune Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on March 12, 2018.  Traffic on N Marion Street between E Harrison Street and E Fortune Street will be maintained on the west side of the road, at all times with delays.  All lanes on N Marion Street will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.

 

Sidewalks around Metro 510 will be closed during construction and pedestrians will be detoured to other sidewalks in the area via signage.

 

All lanes on N Morgan Street, E Harrison Street and N Marion Street are scheduled to be open by 4 pm on Friday, March 30, 2018, weather permitting.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
