Temporary Lane Closures on N Pierce Street to begin August 3, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Pierce Street between E Kennedy Boulevard and E Washington Street will close from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, August 3, 2020 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing communication conduit on west side of N Pierce Street between E Jackson Street and E Washington Street.  One (1) southbound lane on N Pierce Street between E Kennedy Boulevard and E Washington Street will close at 9 am on August 3, 2020.

Two (2) southbound lanes on N Pierce Street between E Kennedy Boulevard and E Washington Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other available sidewalks at all times during construction.

All lanes on N Pierce Street between E Kennedy Boulevard and E Washington Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on  Monday, October 5, 2020, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. 

Southbound motorists can use N Morgan Street or N Jefferson Street between E Kennedy Boulevard and E Washington Street, in lieu of N Pierce Street.
