Temporary Lane Closures N West Shore Boulevard to begin January 13, 2019 for Utility Maintenance

(This is a revision to a Traffic Advisory issued on November 19, 2018)

A portion of N West Shore Boulevard between W Cypress Street and W Spruce Street will close nightly beginning on Sunday, January 13, 2019 for utility maintenance.  A City contractor will be cleaning and relining sewer lines on N West Shore Boulevard between W Cypress Street and W Spruce Street.  The contractor will also be working in sewer manholes on W Union Street, on W Main Street and on W Laurel Street, all to the west of N West Shore Boulevard. 

One (1) northbound lane on N West Shore Boulevard between W Cypress Street and W Spruce Street will be closed from 8 pm to 6 am the following morning beginning on January 13, 2019.  One (1) southbound lane on N West Shore Boulevard between W Spruce Street and W Union Street will also close beginning at 8 pm on January 13, 2019. 

One (1) northbound lane and one (1) southbound lane on N West Shore Boulevard between W Cypress Street and W Spruce Street will be maintained at all times during the construction, with delays.

It is anticipated that all lanes on N West Shore Boulevard will be reopen by 6 am on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Motorists traveling northbound or southbound can use N Lois Avenue between between W Cypress Street and W Boy Scout Boulevard/W Spruce Street in lieu of N West Shore Boulevard.
