Temporary Lane Closures N West Shore Boulevard to begin May 28, 2019 for Utility, Sidewalk and Driveway Construction

A portion of N West Shore Boulevard between W Cypress Street and W Spruce Street/W Boy Scout Boulevard will close daily beginning on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 for utility, sidewalk and driveway Construction.  A private contractor will be installing a water connection and constructing a new driveway and sidewalk on the east side of N West Shore Boulevard between W Laurel Street and W Union Street for new AAA office. 

One (1) northbound lane on N West Shore Boulevard between W Laurel Street and W Union Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on May 28, 2019. 

One (1) northbound lane on N West Shore Boulevard between W Laurel Street and W Union Street will be maintained during the construction, with delays.

The sidewalk within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured via signage to other sidewalks in the area.

It is anticipated that the work on N West Shore Boulevard between W Laurel Street and W Union Street will be completed by 4 pm on Friday, May 31, 2019, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Northbound motorists can use N Lois Avenue between between W Cypress Street and W Boy Scout Boulevard/W Spruce Street in lieu of N West Shore Boulevard.
