Temporary Lane Closures of Pierce Street and N Jefferson Street February 17, 2018 for Utility Construction

A portion of Pierce Street between E Kennedy Boulevard and E Washington Street and a portion of N Jefferson Street between E Kennedy Boulevard and E Washington Street will close at 5 am on Saturday, February 17, 2018, as part of the TECO Washington Street Substation Expansion project.  The TECO subcontractor will be delivering two buildings for the substation.  One building will be off loaded on the Pierce Street side of the substation and the other building will be off loaded on the N Jefferson Street side of the substation. 

Two (2) southbound lanes on Pierce Street between E Jackson Street and E Washington Street will close at 5 am on February 17, 2018. 

Both southbound lanes on N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Washington Street will close at 5 am on February 17, 2018. 

The sidewalk on the east side of Pierce Street between E Jackson Street and E Washington Street and the sidewalk on the west side of N Jefferson Street between E Jackson Street and E Washington Street will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

All lanes on Pierce Street and on N Jefferson Street will reopen to traffic by 5 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
