Temporary Lane Closures S Hyde Park Avenue and W Brorein Street to begin October 23, 2017 for Utility Maintenance

A portion of S Hyde Park Avenue between W Kennedy Boulevard and the Davis Islands bridge and W Brorein Street between S Ashley Drive and S Hyde Park Avenue will close nightly beginning on Monday, October 23, 2017 for utility maintenance.  S Hyde Park Avenue between W Grand Central Avenue and W De Leon Street and W Brorein Street between S Parker Street and S Hyde Park Avenue will close nightly from 7:30 pm to 6 am the following day beginning on October 23, 2017.

One (1) southbound lane on S Hyde Park Avenue between W Grand Central Avenue and W De Leon Street and two (2) westbound lanes on W Brorein Street between S Parker Street and S Hyde Park Avenue will remain open at all times during construction.  It is anticipated that all lanes on S Hyde Park Avenue and W Brorein Street will be open to traffic by 6 am on Thursday, December 21, 2017, weather permitting. 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion on S Hyde Park Avenue and W Brorein Street.

Motorists accessing Davis Islands and Tampa General Hospital can use S Boulevard southbound to W De Leon Street (eastbound) in lieu of S Hyde Park Avenue.  For motorists traveling southbound on S Hyde Park Avenue between W Kennedy Boulevard and W De Leon Street, please allow more time to drive southbound on S Hyde Park Avenue from October 23, 2017 to December 21, 2017.
