The ongoing utility construction schedule on a portion of S Plant Avenue between W Platt Street to W Kennedy Boulevard has been modified.  One (1) lane on S Plant Avenue between W Cardy Street to W Kennedy Boulevard has been closed daily from 9 am to 3 pm since August 21, 2017.  TECO will continue installing new electrical lines between existing manholes in S Plant Avenue intermittently as part of a TECO substation upgrade project.

Beginning at 9 am on Monday, November 20, 2017, one (1) lane on S Plant Avenue between W Cardy Street to W Kennedy Boulevard will be closed continuously until 4 pm Wednesday, November 22, 2017, weather permitting.

All lanes on S Plant Avenue are expected to be open by 3 pm on Saturday, January 13, 2018, weather permitting.

Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage on the east side of S Plant Avenue, at all times during construction.

The City recommends using alternate northbound routes to avoid traffic congestion.
