Starting at 9 p.m. on September 21, department crews will begin cleaning and televising several segments of the collection system on South Hyde Park Avenue, South Plant Street and West Kennedy Boulevard. The intersections listed below are the areas where this preventative maintenance is taking place. It is also the order of how this work will proceed throughout the week:

  • West southbound lane on S Hyde Park Avenue between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Cleveland Street
  • West southbound lane on S Plant Avenue between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Grand Central Avenue
  • Center turn lanes on W Kennedy Boulevard between North Boulevard and North Brevard Avenue

This preventative maintenance will continue nightly through September 25, 2020, between the hours of 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. There will be temporary lane closures in each area as this work progresses. Barricades and signage will be in place to assist with rerouting and traffic flow.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
