A portion of Swann Avenue between Armenia Avenue and MacDill Avenue will close at 9 pm on Monday, August 7, 2017 for pavement investigation work.  The Transportation and Stormwater Services Department contractor, AIM Engineering & Surveying Inc. will be locating utilities in the westbound lane on Swann Avenue between Armenia Avenue and Audubon Avenue, for a future road improvement design project.

Westbound and eastbound  traffic on Swann Avenue between Armenia Avenue and Audubon Avenue will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.  A police officer will be on site to assist with traffic control.

The City contractor will also be locating utilities on Audubon Avenue between Swann Avenue and Fountain Boulevard, requiring Audubon Avenue to be temporarily closed during construction.

It is anticipated that all lanes on Swann Avenue and on Audubon Avenue will be reopened by 1 am on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative westbound and eastbound routes to avoid congestion. Westbound and eastbound  traveling between Howard Avenue and MacDill Avenue can use Morrison Avenue in lieu of Howard Avenue.
