Temporary Lane Closures on W Azeele Street/Park City Way to begin on January 27, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Azeele Street/Park City Way between S MacDill Avenue and W Platt Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, January 27, 2020 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing a pole, streetlights, and aerial cables along W Azeele Street/Park City Way as part of the Mayor’s Initiative/Bright Lights, Safe Nights program.

One (1) eastbound lane on W Azeele Street/Park City Way between S Audubon Avenue and W Platt Street will close beginning at 9 am on January 27, 2020.

One (1) eastbound lane of traffic on W Azeele Street/Park City Way between S Audubon Avenue and W Platt Street will be maintained at all times, with delays.

Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

It is anticipated that all lanes on W Azeele Street/Park City Way between S Audubon Avenue and W Platt Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, February 7, 2020, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

 

Eastbound motorists can use W Swann Avenue/S Howard Avenue between S MacDill Avenue and W Platt Street in lieu of W Azeele Street/Park City Way.

Trucks can use W Kennedy Boulevard/S Armenia Avenue between S MacDill Avenue and W Platt Street in lieu of W Azeele Street/Park City Way.
