Temporary Lane Closures W Brorein Street began October 18, 2017 for Utility Maintenance to be extended

(This is a revision to a Traffic Advisory sent out on October 13, 2017)

 

A portion of W Brorein Street between S Ashley Drive and S Plant Avenue will close nightly beginning Wednesday, October 18, 2017, for utility maintenance.  The City’s contractor will be cleaning sewer lines on W Brorein Street between S Parker Street and S Plant Avenue.  Lanes on W Brorein Street between the Hillsborough River and S Plant Avenue will close nightly from 7 pm to 6 am the following day, beginning on October 18, 2017. 

At least one (1) westbound lane on W Brorein Street between the Hillsborough River and S Plant Avenue will remain open at all times during the construction. 

It is anticipated that all lanes on W Brorein Street will be open to traffic by 6 am on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, weather permitting. 

No lane closures will take place in the evenings from Thursday, November 2, 2017 through Sunday, November 5, 2017 due to special events at the arena.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
