Temporary Lane Closures W Cass Street to begin March 16, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Cass Street between N Howard Avenue and N Rome Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020, for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be relocating a gas main and gas service lines on W Cass Street between N Albany Avenue and N Rome Avenue as part of the Cypress Street Outfall Regional Stormwater Improvements Design-Build project.  There will be daily eastbound and westbound lane closures on W Cass Street between N Albany Avenue and N Rome Avenue beginning at 9 am on March 16, 2020.

Eastbound and westbound traffic on W Cass Street between N Albany Avenue and N Rome Avenue will be intermittently maintained at all times during construction, with delays.  

The sidewalk in the construction area will be closed.  Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via signage to other sidewalks in the area.

All lanes on W Cass Street between N Albany Avenue and N Rome Avenue are scheduled to be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, March 27, 2020, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
