Temporary Lane Closures W Laurel Street to begin March 12, 2019 for Road Construction

A portion of W Laurel Street between N Boulevard and N Tampa Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 for road construction.  A private contractor will be milling and paving W Laurel Street between Doyle Carlton Drive and N Ashley Street including the northbound right turn lane on Doyle Carlton Drive at the intersection of W Laurel Street.  The eastbound lane on W Laurel Street between Doyle Carlton Drive and N Ashley Street will close at 9 am beginning on March 12, 2019.

 

The northbound right turn lane on Doyle Carlton Drive at the intersection of W Laurel Street will also be closed daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on March 12, 2019.

 

Eastbound and westbound traffic on W Laurel Street between Doyle Carlton Drive and N Ashley Street will be intermittently maintained on the north side of W Laurel Street during construction, with delays.

 

The sidewalk within the construction area on W Laurel Street and Doyle Carlton Drive will be closed.  Pedestrians will be diverted around the construction area via signage at all times during construction.

 

All lanes on W Laurel Street and Doyle Carlton Drive will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, weather permitting.   

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
