Temporary Lane Closures W Spruce Street to begin February 27, 2018 for Safety Improvements
A portion of W Spruce Street between N Lois Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway will close nightly from 8 pm to 6 am beginning Tuesday, February 27, 2018 for construction of safety improvements. A private contractor will be installing an enhanced crosswalk with a center median on W Spruce Street west of N Grady Avenue.
Lane closures on W Spruce Street between N Clark Avenue and N Harold Avenue will begin at 8 pm on February 27, 2018. One (1) lane of eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained intermittently with delays during the construction.
The sidewalk on W Spruce Street between N Clark Avenue and N Harold Avenue will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area.
All lanes on W Spruce Street between N Clark Avenue and N Harold Avenue will be open to traffic by 6 am on Saturday, March 3, 2018, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. Eastbound and westbound motorists can use W Cypress Street between N Lois Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway in lieu of W Spruce Street.
