Temporary Lane Closures W Waters Avenue and N Armenia Avenue to begin October 24, 2017 for Road Construction

(This is a revision to a Traffic Advisory sent out on October 17, 2017)

Tampa, FL (October 24, 2017) – A portion of W Waters Avenue between N Boulevard and N Habana Avenue and N Armenia Avenue between W Busch Boulevard and W Sligh Avenue will close nightly beginning on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, for road construction.  Private contractor will be installing new sidewalk and curb for a new restaurant located on the northwest corner of W Waters Avenue and N Armenia Avenue.  One (1) westbound lane on W Waters Avenue between N Waterford Avenue and N Habana Avenue and one (1) southbound lane on N Armenia Avenue between W Humphrey Street and W Waters Avenue will be closed nightly from 7 pm and 6 am beginning October 24, 2017. 

All lanes on W Waters Avenue between N Waterford Avenue and N Habana Avenue and N Armenia Avenue between W Humphrey Street and W Waters Avenue will be reopen to traffic by 6 am on Saturday, October 28, 2017, weather permitting. 

The sidewalks on the northwest corner of W Waters Avenue and N Armenia Avenue intersection will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion.  Westbound motorists can use W Busch Boulevard between N Florida Avenue and N Himes Avenue.  Motorists traveling southbound can use N Florida Avenue or N Himes Avenue between W Busch Boulevard and W Lambright Street /W Sligh Avenue.
