Temporary Lane Intersection Closure on S. Howard Avenue to begin March 08, 2017 for Stormwater Improvement

 Phase Two (2) of the Howard Avenue Stormwater Improvement Project will begin on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. 

Phase One (1) Howard Avenue at Marjory Avenue Stormwater work will be completed on Monday, March 13, 2017.  Marjory Avenue to the east of Howard Avenue will be closed from 9 am and 4 pm on March 13, 2017, as the City Contractor ties in the new Stormwater discharge pipe.  Howard Avenue will remain open to traffic in both directions on Monday, March 13, 2017.

A portion of Howard Avenue between Morrison Avenue to Bayshore Boulevard will close on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, as part of a 5 Phase Capital Improvement Project.  The southbound lane on Howard Avenue from Watrous Avenue to Marjory Avenue will be temporarily closed, from 9 am to 4 pm, beginning on March 14, 2017, as part of the Phase 2 construction work.  The City contractor will be installing Stormwater pipe on the west side of Howard Avenue between Watrous Avenue and Marjory Avenue.  This phase of work is scheduled to be completed by 4 pm, on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, with the entire project being completed by mid-April 2017, weather permitting.

Northbound and southbound traffic on Howard Avenue will be maintained at all times during construction.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
