Temporary Lane/Road Closures of S Meridian Avenue, E Whiting Street, E Washington Street, Water Street and S Morgan Street to begin November 14, 2019 for Special Event

A portion of S Meridian Avenue between E Cumberland Avenue and E Jackson Street, E Whiting Street between S 11th Street and S Meridian Avenue, E Washington Street between S 11th Street and S Meridian Avenue, Water Street between S Florida Avenue and Channelside Drive and S Morgan Street between Channelside Drive and Water Street will close beginning on Thursday, November 14, 2019 for the unloading of vehicles for the 2020 Model Tampa Bay New Car & Truck Show at the Tampa Convention Center.

One (1) southbound lane and one (1) northbound lane of S Meridian Avenue between E Cumberland Avenue and E Jackson Street will close at 4 am on November 14, 2019 and will reopen to traffic by 4 pm, weather permitting.  In addition, E Whiting Street between S 11th Street and S Meridian Avenue and E Washington Street between S 11th Street and S Meridian Avenue will close on November 14, 2019 from 4 am to 4 pm.

Two (2) southbound lanes and two (2) northbound lanes of S Meridian Avenue between E Cumberland Avenue and E Jackson Street will remain open to traffic during the load-in of the vehicles for the show.

On Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 2 pm, Water Street between S Florida Avenue and Channelside Drive and S Morgan Street between Channelside Drive and Water Street will close for the load-out of the vehicles from 2020 Model Tampa Bay New Car & Truck Show. 

All lanes on Water Street and S Morgan Street will reopen to traffic by 10 pm on Sunday, November 17, 2019, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
