Temporary Lane/Road Closures on W Euclid Avenue and S Himes Avenue to begin August 14, 2019 for Emergency Sewer Work

A portion of W Euclid Avenue between S Dale Mabry Highway and S MacDill Avenue and S Himes Avenue between W Euclid Avenue and W Gandy Boulevard will close at 9 am on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 for emergency sewer work.  A City contractor will be repairing a sewer pipe in the eastbound lane on W Euclid Avenue at the intersection of S Himes Avenue.

The eastbound lane on W Euclid Avenue between S Dale Mabry Highway and S Gunlock Avenue and S Himes Avenue between W Euclid Avenue and W Randall Street will close at 9 am on August 14, 2019.

The westbound lane on W Euclid Avenue between S Gunlock Avenue and S Dale Mabry Highway will be maintained during construction, with delays.  Westbound left turns on W Euclid Avenue at the intersection of S Himes Avenue will be prohibited during the construction.

Motorists traveling southbound on S Himes Avenue between W El Prado Boulevard and W Euclid Avenue will be restricted to a right turn at the intersection of W Euclid Avenue.

Access to the LeRoy Selmon Expressway northbound on-ramp from W Euclid Avenue will be accessible from the east off of S MacDill Avenue.

It is anticipated that all lanes on W Euclid Avenue and S Himes Avenue will reopen to traffic by 9 am on  Saturday, August 17, 2019, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
