Temporary Road Closure of N Boulevard that began February 15, 2018 for Utility Construction to be Extended

(This is a revision to a Traffic Advisory sent out on February 9, 2018)

A portion of North Boulevard between W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and W Columbus Drive will close beginning on Thursday, February 15, 2018 for utility construction.  A City contractor will be installing a sewer force main as part of a Capital Improvement Project.  North Boulevard between W Plymouth Street and W Alfred Street will close at 9 am on February 15, 2018.  W Adalee Street and W Braddock Street will also be closed at North Boulevard during the construction.

Sidewalks along North Boulevard between W Adalee Street and W Braddock Street will be closed throughout the construction area. Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

Bike lanes along North Boulevard between W Plymouth Street and W Alfred Street will also be closed throughout the construction area. Bicyclists will be detoured to other available streets around the construction with signage.

It is anticipated that all lanes on North Boulevard between W Plymouth Street and W Braddock Street will reopen by 4 pm on Friday, March 23, 2018, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorist use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
