Temporary Road Closure on Palm Avenue began June 12, 2017 for Road and Infrastructure Improvements

Tampa, FL (August 25, 2017) – The Heights Development Project construction work on Palm Avenue between N Boulevard and Tampa Street has been extended.  Construction to reconfigure the roadway to include 2-way traffic, bike lanes and on-street parking on Palm Avenue between N Boulevard and Tampa Street began on June 12, 2017.  The private contractor will be installing new sanitary, storm and water lines on Palm Avenue between North Boulevard and Highland Avenue to accommodate the proposed development. 

It is anticipated that one (1) lane in each direction on Palm Avenue between North Boulevard and Tampa Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, September 8, 2017, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
