Temporary Road Closure on S MacDill Avenue began on September 30, 2019 for Utility Maintenance

A portion of S MacDill Avenue between W Gandy Boulevard and Interbay Boulevard closed on Monday, September 30, 2019 for utility maintenance.  A city contractor will be rehabilitating seven (7) sewer manholes on S MacDill Avenue between W Marlin Avenue and Interbay Boulevard. 

The southbound lane on S MacDill Avenue between W Marlin Avenue and W Pearl Avenue will close at 9 am beginning on September 30, 2019.

Southbound and northbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the east side of S MacDill Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.

All lanes on S MacDill Avenue between W Marlin Avenue and Interbay Boulevard will reopen by 4 pm on Monday, October 14, 2019, weather permitting. 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Southbound and northbound motorists can use S Himes Avenue or Bayshore Boulevard between W Gandy Boulevard and Interbay Boulevard in lieu of S MacDill Avenue.  Southbound and northbound truck traffic should use Dale Mabry Highway between W Gandy Boulevard and Interbay Boulevard in lieu of S MacDill Avenue.
