Temporary Road Closure S West Shore Boulevard to begin September 30, 2019 for Utility Construction

A portion of S West Shore Boulevard between W Gandy Boulevard and  Interbay Boulevard will close beginning on Monday, September 30, 2019 for utility construction.  A private contractor will be installing an 8” water main across S West Shore Boulevard between W Fairview Heights and W Montgomery Avenue .

S Westshore Boulevard between W Fairview Heights and W Montgomery Avenue will close at 9 am on September 30, 2019.

Northbound and southbound traffic on S West Shore Boulevard will be detoured to other streets.   

The sidewalk within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured via signage to other sidewalks in the area.

It is anticipated that all lanes on S West Shore Boulevard between W Fairview Heights and W Montgomery Avenue will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2019, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Northbound and southbound motorists can use S Manhattan Avenue between W Gandy Boulevard and Interbay Boulevard in lieu of S West Shore Boulevard.
