Temporary Road Closure on W Bay to Bay Boulevard to begin September 7, 2018 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Bay to Bay Boulevard between S Esperanza Avenue/LeRoy Selmon Expressway southbound W Bay to Bay Boulevard exit ramp and Bayshore Boulevard will close beginning on Friday, September 7, 2018 for water line construction.  A private contractor will be installing a water service connection on W Bay to Bay Boulevard between S Ysabella Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard for the Aquatica Residential Tower at 2900 W Bay to Bay Boulevard. 

 

All lanes on W Bay to Bay Boulevard between S Ysabella Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard will close at 8 pm on September 7, 2018.  One (1) eastbound lane on W Bay to Bay Boulevard between S Esperanza Avenue/LeRoy Selmon Expressway southbound W Bay to Bay Boulevard exit ramp and S Ysabella Avenue will also close at 8 pm beginning on September 7, 2018.

 

Sidewalks on the south side of W Bay to Bay Boulevard between S MacDill Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard will be closed during the construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage. 

 

It is anticipated that all lanes on W Bay to Bay Boulevard will reopen to traffic by 6 am on Monday, September 10, 2018, weather permitting.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
