Temporary Road Closure on West Cass Street to begin November 15, 2019 for Stormwater Construction Tampa, FL
A portion of West Cass Street from North Boulevard through the intersection of North Willow Avenue will close beginning on Friday, November 15, 2019, as part of the Cypress Street Outfall Regional Stormwater Improvements Design-Build project. This project will be completed in multiple phases. During this phase, a City contractor will be installing stormwater box culverts, water mains, sanitary sewer, sidewalks and associated improvements along W Cass Street between N Boulevard and N Willow Avenue.
The project also includes signalization upgrade at the intersection of W Cass Street and N Willow Avenue. During Phase 1B, West Cass Street from North Boulevard through the intersection of North Willow Avenue will close at 9 am on November 15, 2019 and the intersection of West Cass Street and North Willow Avenue will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, weather permitting.
Sidewalks on the north and south sides of West Cass Street from North Boulevard through North Willow Avenue will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times. During future phases, after the completion of Phases 1A and 1B, there will be closures on North Rome Avenue between West Cass Street and West Kennedy Boulevard and on West Gray Street between North Rome Avenue and North Tampania Avenue.
