Temporary Road Closures on Brorein Street to begin March 3, 2017 for Roadway and Infrastructure Improvements

On Friday, March 3, 2017, at 9 a.m., Brorein Street from Old Water Street to Jefferson Street will be closed for roadway and infrastructure improvements.  During this phase, Brorein Street at the intersection of Nebraska Avenue will remain open for northbound and southbound through traffic only.  Brorein Street, from Old Water Street to Jefferson Street, will reopen Monday, March 6, 2017 at 5 a.m., weather permitting.

One (1) southbound lane on Jefferson Street from Whiting Street to Brorein Street will remain open, during this phase of construction, to provide access to Brorein Street.

The northernmost lane of Channelside Drive between Florida Avenue and Old Water Street also remains closed. Pedestrians on Channelside Drive between Morgan Street and Old Water Street will be directed to the south side of Channelside Drive.  The northern lane of Channelside Drive will reopen in Summer 2017.
