Temporary Road Closures of Channelside Drive and Water Street to begin October 15th 2020 for Signal Construction

A portion of Channelside Drive between S Jefferson Street and S Meridian Avenue/Beneficial Drive and Water Street (formerly Old Water Street) between S Morgan Street and Channelside Drive will close nightly from 9 pm to 5 am beginning on Thursday, October 15, 2020, for signal construction. A City contractor will be installing new signal pole and mast arms at the intersection of Channelside Drive and Water Street.


Channelside Drive between S Jefferson Street and S Meridian Avenue/Beneficial Drive and Water Street between S Morgan Street and Channelside Drive will close at 9 pm on October 15, 2020.
Sidewalks in the work area will be closed during the construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.
Channelside Drive between S Jefferson Street and S Meridian Avenue/Beneficial Drive and Water Street between S Morgan Street and Channelside Drive will be open to traffic by 5 am on Saturday, October 17, 2020, weather permitting.


The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
