Temporary Road Closures of N 22nd Street and E Linebaugh Avenue that began April 27, 2020 for Road Construction to be Extended

A portion of N 22nd Street between E Busch Boulevard and E Bougainvillea Avenue and E Linebaugh Avenue between N 30th Street and N 15th Street that closed beginning on Monday, April 27, 2020 for road construction, will be extended.  A City contractor will be installing drainage facilities on N 22nd Street between E Okara Road and E Annona Avenue and on E Linebaugh Avenue between N 21st Street and N 23rd Street. N 22nd Street between E Okara Road and E Annona Avenue and E Linebaugh Avenue between N 21st Street and N 23rd Street closed on April 27, 2020. 


The sidewalks in the construction area will be closed.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other sidewalks in the area via signage.


All lanes on N 22nd Street between E Okara Road and E Annona Avenue and on E Linebaugh Avenue between N 21st Street and N 23rd Street will be open by 4 pm on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, weather permitting. 


The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.


Northbound and southbound motorists can use N 30th Street or N Nebraska Avenue between E Busch Boulevard and E Bougainvillea Avenue in lieu of N 22nd Street. Eastbound and westbound motorists can use E Bougainvillea Avenue between N 30th Street and N 15th Street in lieu of E Linebaugh Avenue.
