DETAILS: In her first interview since the birth of her son, Kacee Martinez makes a public plea for help in the investigation into her husband’s murder. Kacee was pregnant when her husband was abducted last December. He was found murdered eight days later. The family has increased the Crime Stoppers reward from $5,000 to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. Detectives are actively investigating the case, but believe people in the community are not coming forward to share details with the police department. Investigators are asking for the public’s help to solve this case. Anyone who has information and wishes to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.

Detectives Searching for Missing Man

WHO: Emilio J. Martinez-Rodriguez, H/M, 10/22/76, 6’, brown hair, brown eyes, olive skin, short cropped hair with goatee, tattoo of cross on lower back, heart with tribal design back left shoulder, Japanese writing on right bicep.

VICTIM’S VEHICLE: 2007, 4 door, gray, Toyota, Buccaneer tag B2AKC, damage to right front, fender and right passenger door, dark window tint, vehicle is lowered with normal size chrome rims.

MISSING SINCE: 12/15/2010, 7:30 p.m.

MISSING FROM: 2125 Dallas Avenue West

DETAILS: At 6:30 p.m., the missing man left his home to get food for his pregnant wife. When he didn’t return home around 9 p.m., his wife called police. Detectives have reason to believe that he did return home, but never made it into the house. There has been no sign of the victim or his car since he left home at 6:30 p.m. Detectives have reason to believe that he may be in danger.

Detectives Release Video in Missing Man Case

Suspicious Person Description: Possibly a black male, approximately 6’00, no estimated age, Last seen wearing a knee length black coat and blue jeans

Details: Surveillance footage from a neighbor’s home shows a suspicious person walking towards the victim’s home at 7:25p.m. Less than a second later, the video shows the victim’s car driving toward his home. If anyone recognizes the unknown male or was in the area and saw him Wednesday night, they are asked to call the Tampa Police Department at 813 231-6130. Detectives continue to search for the victim and his vehicle. As more time passes, detectives are increasingly concerned about the safety and welfare of Emilio Martinez-Rodriguez.

Workers Discover Body that may Be Emilio Martinez-Rodriguez

Tampa Police Homicide Detectives received a call from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office regarding a body discovered within their jurisdiction on Orient Road just north of Sligh Avenue. The description and vehicle matched that of a missing Tampa man, Emilio Martinez-Rodriguez. Detectives believe the body is Martinez-Rodriguez, but the Medical Examiner will make the final identification. That identification should take place tomorrow and there will be a Media Alert once the Tampa Police Department receives the information. Emilio Martinez-Rodriguez went missing last week, 12/15 after leaving his home around 6:30 p.m.


Recovered Body Identified As Missing Tampa Man

The Medical Examiner has identified the body found in the vacant lot at Sligh and Orient Road as Emilio Martinez-Rodriguez. He was identified through X-Rays.
