Traffic Advisory: Temporary Lane Closures N Armenia Avenue and W Cleveland Street December 6, 2018 for Utility Construction, to be released today, December 3, 2018

A portion of N Armenia Avenue between W Cypress Street and W Cleveland Street and W Cleveland Street between S Willow Avenue and S Armenia Avenue will close on Thursday, December 6, 2018 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing utilities on the east side of N Armenia Avenue between W North A Street and W Cleveland Street.  There will be temporary lane closures on N Armenia Avenue and W Cleveland Street.  The southbound left turn lane on N Armenia Avenue between W North A Street and W Kennedy Boulevard, one (1) southbound lane on S Armenia Avenue between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Cleveland Street and one (1) westbound lane W Cleveland Street between S Howard Avenue and S Armenia Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on December 6, 2018. 

 

The bike lane on the north side of W Cleveland Street between S Howard Avenue and S Armenia Avenue will also be closed during a portion of the construction work.

 

The sidewalks on the east side of N Armenia Avenue between W North A Street and W Cleveland Street and on the north side of W Cleveland Street between S Howard Avenue and S Armenia Avenue will be closed during the construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.

 

It is anticipated that all lanes on N Armenia Avenue and W Cleveland Street will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, December 14, 2018, weather permitting.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
