The two adults were pushing their two children in separate strollers along the west curb line. They began walking in the roadway when the sidewalk ended. Victim #1 was immediately transported to Tampa General Hospital as a trauma patient, where she later expired due to her injuries. Victim # 1 was also (6) months pregnant. Due to the severity of victim #1 injuries the medical team conducted a caesarean section to save the unborn baby however, the fetus expired shortly after birth.
