UCAP Downtown Water Transmission Main Segment 2
Start: Saturday, August 8, 2015
End: September 30, 2015
Intersection of E. Tyler St. and Ashley Drive Weekend Only Work

The UCAP team will continue work on the Downtown water transmission main segment 2 with work throughout the intersection of Ashley Drive and E. Tyler Street. Work will be conducted in three phases on weekends only.

Phase 1 will begin at the intersection of Ashley Drive and E. Tyler Street. The two northernmost lanes of E. Tyler Street will be closed from MacInnes to Ashley Dr. Ashley Dr soundbound will also be closed from the Ashley / Tampa split to Tyler St. Southbound traffic will be detoured to Tampa St. with one lane open to Fortune St. for access to the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Northbound lanes on Ashley will remain open at all times until Jefferson St (I-275 access) is reopened. There will be one lane of westbound traffic on E. Tyler Street.

Phase 2 will begin at the intersection of Ashley Drive and E. Tyler Street, Southbound traffic on Ashley Drive and E. Tyler Street will remain open. Northbound traffic on Ashley Drive heading to I-275 will be detoured on Cass to Florida Ave. One northbound lane on Ashley between Cass and Tyler will be open for access to the Straz area. There will be one lane of westbound traffic on E. Tyler Street.

Phase 3 will move to the south lane on E. and W. Tyler Street. A portion of the south lane on E. Tyler between Tampa St. and Ashley Drive will be closed; as well as a portion of the south lane on W. Tyler between Ashley Drive and MacInnes Place. Westbound traffic will remain in place.

The UCAP team will make every effort to minimize disruptions to motorists and residents. Detour routes will be available throughout downtown.

The work will commence on August 8, 2015 with an anticipated completion date of the September 30, 2015. Work will occur on weekends only from 8am – 8pm.
