The City of Tampa Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council is pleased to announce its keynote speaker for the 2015 Latinos Unidos Luncheon, the Honorable Mel Martinez, U. S. Senator and current Chairman of the Southeast U. S. & Latin America JPMorgan Chase & Co. This is the 17th anniversary of the luncheon and a milestone for Tampa Bay Hispanics to be proud of, as the proceeds from this event will go towards funding the City of Tampa Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council scholarship programs at various institutions of higher education in Tampa including University of Tampa, University of South Florida, and Hillsborough Community College.
The luncheon will take place at Noon on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Hilton Downtown Hotel in downtown Tampa. Please visit tampagov.net/latinosunidosluncheon for more information or to purchase tickets.
This year’s keynote speaker is an inspiration for young Hispanics looking to better themselves through education with hopes to reach the American Dream. After more than a decade of public service, Senator Martinez joined JPMorgan Chase in 2010. We are proud to have the opportunity to showcase Senator Mel Martinez at this year’s Latinos Unidos Luncheon. Every year, the Latinos Unidos Luncheon brings together Tampa Bay area Hispanics in an effort to promote the cultural and financial influence Latinos have in our communities.
