UPDATE #2: Precautionary Boil Water Notice Lifted for Ballast Point Area

Tampa, Fla. (July 4, 2014) – A precautionary boil water notice for residents in the Ballast Point area of South Tampa has been lifted. 

Additional water quality samples confirm that water is safe to consume. 

The City of Tampa Water Department continues to request any resident living in the following boundaries with a private well please call the Utilities Call Center so additional water quality samples can be taken. The boundaries of that subset area are as follows: W. Bay Ave/ W. Conley Ave. on the north, S. Switzer Ave. on the west, W. Averill Ave. on the south, and Hillsborough Bay on the east.

Again, customers within that area with a well on their property are urged to contact the Water Department by calling the Utilities Call Center at (813) 274-8811. Press option 4 for "water emergency" to reach a representative throughout the holiday weekend.
