Update on what appeared to be a fatal hit and run from Sunday evening
A preliminary finding from the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner has determined the victim's injuries are not consistent with a hit and run crash. The Tampa Police Department is waiting for the results of the autopsy and a final ruling from the M.E. to determine if the case is a homicide.
