US Marshals Arrest Tampa Bank Robber in Alabama

The US Marshals arrested Danny Ray Madison in Huntsviile, Alabama. They received a tip that was in a Hunstville hotel and he was arrested in the hotel. He matches the description of a suspect who robbed a Huntsville bank yesterday. Alabama authorities are investigating whether or not he was involved.

Tampa Bank Robber Hits Two Nashville Banks

Tampa, FL March 22, 2012 -

The bank robbery suspect who hit a Tampa Bank, robbed two Nashville, Tennessee Banks this afternoon and yesterday, 3/22/12. Detectives believe he has nothing to lose at this point and the FBI is involved in the cases. During the 2nd Nashville robbery, the suspect was more violent and displayed a gun. While he is in the Nashville area, there may be people in the Tampa area who know him or have information on his whereabouts. The FBI has billboards up throughout Tampa with the suspect's photo. The bank he robbed on March 13 in Tampa, was the same bank he robbed twice 10 years ago. He was recently released from Federal prison after serving 10 years for five Tampa bank robberies.

Tampa Police Detectives are still searching for the bank robbery suspect who robbed the BB&T Bank on March 13th.

Prior to the March 13th robbery, Danny Ray Madison had been recently released from Federal prison after serving 10 years for bank robbery. In November of 2000 he committed five bank robberies in Downtown Tampa. The first bank he robbed in 2000 was the same bank he robbed March 13th, 2012.

Tampa Police Officers Searching for Bank Robber

DATE/TIME: March 13, 2012 at 9:04 a.m.

LOCATION: BB&T Bank, 400 North Tampa Street, Tampa

SUSPECT: Danny Ray Madison, W/M, 3/4/65, last known address 4102 West Hillsborough Avenue


Tampa Police detectives are searching for a man who robbed a BB&T Bank early this morning. The suspect entered the bank and stood in line while the teller assisted another customer. After the customer left, the suspect gave the teller a note demanding money. The note also implied that he had a gun. The teller provided the suspect an undetermined amount of cash. He calmly exited the bank on foot. No one was harmed during the robbery.
