Mayor Bob Buckhorn reflects on his time in office, including the city’s accomplishments over the last eight years. From climbing out of the worst recession since the Great Depression, to transforming our city into the place where the best and the brightest want to be. Together, we’ve redeveloped Tampa one monumental groundbreaking at a time.

From the completion of the Tampa Riverwalk, to the grand opening of new parks and public spaces. Together, we’ve embraced our community through programs like Stay & Play and Autism Friendly Tampa. And together we’ve shined on the national stage, hosting major events like the College Football Playoffs and the Republican National Convention. Over the last eight years, our city has grown into one of the top economic engines in the southeast, and has earned numerous awards for livability and quality of life. Tampa is unrecognizable thanks to the efforts of everyone in the community who believed in our city. As Mayor Bob Buckhorn says his bittersweet goodbyes, he can’t but feel incredibly #TampaProud. Now stay tuned for Tampa’s GREAT EIGHT. #TampasGreatEight
