Do you enjoy the process of making art -- whether it's in music, visual art, or theater? The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department is seeking qualified, dependable instructors to lead performing and visual art classes at the new Virginia Rivers Creative Arts Studio at the Springhill Community Center, which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2011.

Be your own boss and let us help. The Tampa Parks and Recreation Department is looking for new and creative recreational opportunities to provide to our citizens. Earn a little cash for yourself while giving back to the community by sharing your talents. Independent contract instructors are virtually small business owners with none of the overhead costs associated with running a business. The City provides the facility, online registration, and assistance with marketing - you provide the instruction. Instructors are needed in a variety of subjects in both visual and performing arts.

If you are interested in this exciting opportunity or if you would like additional information, please visit our website at and select Contract Instructors to download the application packet or email to request a Recreation Contract Instructor Manual. Applicants must meet the City of Tampa requirements to be accepted as an instructor.
