NeighborhoodLIFTSM will offer down payment assistance grants of up to $15,000 per qualified homebuyer; part of $7 million in grants and program funding in Tampa; plus $500 million mortgage lending commitment over next 5 years.

WHO:City of Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn, Wells Fargo Regional President for the Greater Gulf Coast Carl Miller, and Greg Schwartz from the Tampa Bay Community Development Corp.
WHAT:To announce $7 million in grants and program funds for the City of Tampa through the NeighborhoodLIFTSM program – an initiative designed to help people achieve homeownership.

NeighborhoodLIFTSM will include a two day event that will take place June 22 and 23 at the Tampa Convention Center where prospective homebuyers may qualify for up to $15,000 in down payment assistance and/or home and renovation financing grants.

In addition, prospective home buyers will be able to take advantage of home buyer education sessions and tours of selected residential properties that are available for sale in the City of Tampa.

Wells Fargo will collaborate with the City of Tampa and the non-profit organization NeighborhoodWorks America and its local affiliate, Tampa Bay Community Development Corp., to execute the program.

NeighborhoodLIFTSM is the first of its kind in the banking industry and media is invited to cover the historic initiative.
