Westshore Boulevard from West Bay Way Drive to Beachway Drive reopens to traffic

Westshore Boulevard from West Bay Way Drive to Beachway Drive will reopen to two-way traffic on Friday, June 24, 2016 in the early morning.  Work will continue on the shoulders as part of the Watrous Canal Rehabilitation Project.  The city contractor will be installing railing, curb, sidewalk and standard roadway landscaping materials.

Extra caution should be used when driving on Westshore Boulevard through the construction area.  The speed limit on Westshore Boulevard will be reduced from 30 MPH to 25 MPH during the remaining phase of construction.  The paving of Westshore will be done with temporary lane closures.  The road will remain open to traffic.  Expect minor delays.  The construction is anticipated to be completed mid-July, weather permitting.

Pedestrian access will be maintained on one (1) side of Westshore Boulevard at all times.

The City recommends using alternative northbound and southbound routes.
