Williams Park Activity Center Expansion Ceremony

The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for the Williams Park Activity Center Expansion project. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, February 27th at 4 pm at Williams Park, located at 4362 E. Osborne Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610. The expansion project will include the construction of a 1,650 square foot addition to the existing activity center which includes a classroom, restrooms, a new concrete porch and patio, renovations of existing restroom building and landscaping additions. The new total square footage of the building (interior and exterior) will be 4,150 square feet.

 

During the construction, the programs that normally take place at Williams Park will be transferred to the Jackson Heights NFL YET Center. This will include the After School Activities Program, Summer Camp, national awarding winning Tampa Stay & Play Teen Program, and active older adult classes. The Williams Park Pool, that is located adjacent to the activity center, will operate on a seasonal schedule during the summer months. Registration for our R.E.C.
