Mayor's Hispanic Advisory Council 20th Anniversary Luncheon to Feature Cyber-Security Leader

The Mayor's Hispanic Advisory Council's 20th Anniversary Latinos Unidos Luncheon, will be celebrated at the downtown Hilton Hotel on Tuesday May 8, 2018.


The 2018 Luncheon keynote speaker will be Manuel D. "Manny" Medina, CEO of Cyxtera Technologies, a global leader in data center infrastructure and cyber-security solutions. A frequent IT consultant, and recognized industry leader, Medina was the founder and CEO of Terremark which was acquired by Verizon in 2011 for an enterprise value of $2 billion. A former CPA for Price Waterhouse, Medina is also the founder and chairman of eMerge Americas, the premier B2B technology event linking the U.S., Latin America and Europe.


Since its inception, the Luncheon has generated over $550,000 in endowed funds and has changed the lives of scores of deserving local students attending HCC, USF and UT. In 2018, the Council also celebrates its 35th anniversary as an Advisory body to the City of Tampa Mayor.
