Tampa, FL (March 1, 2018) – A portion of N Rome Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue that closed at 9 am on Monday, January 22, 2018, as part of a Heights Development Project will be extended.  The private contractor will be installing new storm line and retention pond on N Rome Avenue between W Henry Avenue and W Clifton Street to accommodate the proposed development.

It is anticipated that N Rome Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, weather permitting.

The sidewalk on the west side of N Rome Avenue will be closed around the construction site.  Pedestrians will be detoured via signage to other sidewalks in the area, during construction.
