Inspect Grease Traps and Interceptors
The City of Tampa has over 2600+ Food Service Establishments (FSE) throughout the City's sewer service area that are inspected twice per year with four (4) inspectors). The purpose of these grease trap/interceptor inspections is to minimize grease accumulation into the wastewater collection system in accordance with the City's Grease Ordinance adopted in 2005. The annual goal is 6144 inspections or 512 inspections monthly.
Note: The Wastewater Department spent two weeks on issues related to Hurricane Irma which contributed to lower than usual numbers.
