Swimming and Water Safety Programs
Swimming is a life-long skill that everyone can enjoy regardless of age. Tampa Parks and Recreation offers year-round Swimming and Water Safety Programs through the American Red Cross. Participants learn how to be safe in, on, or around water and through progressive levels, learn knowledge and skills needed for aquatic skill development.
Did you know that although 80% of Americans say they can swim,
only 56% can actually perform the 5 basic skills they need to swim safely in a pool?
