Parks & Natural Areas
From our beautiful sunsets and tropical weather to our ever-expanding recreational opportunities, Tampa has become one of the most diverse cities in the Southeast. Tampa is less a place and more a feeling that can only be experienced, not explained.
Our highest priority is to meet the Mayor's goal of delivering consistent services; maintaining the safety and appearance of city parks and recreation facilities; and instilling community pride. We manage over 3,540 acres of parkland, 185 parks, 71 playgrounds, 26 recreation centers, 9 dog parks, 3 skate parks, Majorie Park Marina, and over 300 miles of trails.
