Why did everyone else in my neighborhood receive collection except me?
Please call the Customer Service Division at (813) 274-8811 to see if your route is delayed.
Traffic, equipment challenges or driver absences can cause route delays. Although operator oversights may occur, refuse is typically not collected if containers are overweight, not placed out on time, blocked by vehicles (impairing the drivers sight), or excessive amounts of debris is placed at curbside.
Why do my collection times vary?
Although many routes are operated by designated personnel, from time to time routes may be changed due to availability of equipment and personnel. To ensure your garbage is collected on its scheduled pick-up day, place garbage out at the curb no later than 6:00 AM. If you are unsure about your scheduled pick-up please call the Customer Service Division at (813) 274-8811.
I spent the entire weekend cleaning out my garage and the garbage man did not collect any of the materials I put out at the curb. Why?
