Q: I’m driving, can you give me directions to Tampa Convention Center?
A:  From Bradenton, Sarasota, Venice, Ft. Myers, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Naples

Take I-75 North to I-4 West to Tampa I-275 Junction. Exit 45A.  Follow signs for Tampa Street.  Stay in the middle lane to enter the garage.

From St. Petersburg & Clearwater Airport

Take I-275 North.  Exit 44.  Follow signs for Tampa Street.  Stay in the middle lane to enter the garage.

From Orlando, Lakeland, Plant City, Daytona, Jacksonville:

Take I-4 West to Tampa to I-275 Junction.  Exit 45A.  Follow signs for Tampa Street. Stay in the middle lane to enter the garage.

Q: Do you have wheelchair and scooter rentals and drop-off?

Q: Do you have a Lost & Found?
A: Yes, all lost personal item are taken to our Security Command Center at (813) 274-7791.

Q: How do I book an event?
A: Please call our Sales & Marketing Department directly at (813) 274-8422.

Q: : Do you have free Wi-Fi at the convention center?
A: Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the Bay Bistro seating area, and outside at The Sail.

Q: Is The Sail open during construction?
A: Yes. The Sail is open daily: 11AM to midnight Sunday-Thursday; 11AM to 2AM Friday & Saturday.

Q: What is the cost for parking at Tampa Convention Center?
A: Tampa Convention Center Garage is $1.65 per hour, with a maximum daily rate of $9.65.
Pam Iorio & Fort Brooke Garage are within walking distance and have the same hourly rates. Pre-pay/reserved parking is not available. All are owned by the City of Tampa.

Q: What are the closest hotels within walking distance?
A: Tampa Marriott Water Street & Embassy Suites Tampa Downtown are directly across the street.
Westin Tampa Waterside is .3 miles away and Hilton Tampa Downtown is .5 miles away.

Q: Is gas available for boats at the docks?
A: No, however, Marjorie Park Yacht Basin, just minutes away on Davis Island does and they are open daily from 8AM-5PM and closed on City of Tampa holidays - (813) 259-1604.

Q: Do you have a box office to buy tickets in advance for upcoming events?
A: We do not have a box office for which you can purchase tickets in advance, however you may be able to purchase on-line through the event’s website or the day of at Tampa Convention Center.

Q: Do you provide a nursing mothers station?
A: Please contact the event organizer directly to see if they are providing this service to attendees.

Q:  Can I bring food and beverage in the building?

A.  Outside food and beverages are not allowed in the building unless you have dietary restrictions/food allergies.  We offer a variety of food & beverages outlets to include healthy items and Starbuck’s & Kahwa coffee brands.

Q: Can I bring in my weapon if I have a concealed weapons permit?
A: Florida Statutes (F.S.) chapter 790.06 allows for a concealed weapon at the Center but not at Center’s waterfront restaurant, The Sail, located on property.

Q.  How do I get around the City?

A:  Downtowner: The Downtowner is a free on-demand ridesharing service operating in Tampa’s Downtown. To request a free ride, visitors need to download the Downtowner App to their smartphone and input the pickup/drop off location.

TECO Streetcar: The Streetcar offers a free, fun and characteristic way to travel between Tampa’s Downtown, Sparkman Wharf, and Ybor City. Convention Center visitors can hop aboard the streetcar at stop #10 - Dick Grecco Plaza, located across from the Tampa Convention Center front drive and The Sail.

Coast Bikes: Coast Bikes offers a convenient and fun way for visitors to explore Tampa’s Downtown. Visitors can take advantage of hourly pay as you go rates and pickup/drop off a bike at one of the many locations set up across the downtown district. Near the Tampa Convention Center, Coast Bikes can be rented just outside the Franklin Street entrance or near the Tampa Riverwalk.

Pirate Water Taxi: The Pirate Water Taxi allows visitors to experience Tampa from the water while exploring some of the city’s top attractions by hopping on and off at various stops along the Hillsborough River. Rates are charged on a daily basis, allowing visitors to ride all day. The Pirate Water Taxi’s home dock is stop #7—located right outside the Tampa Convention Center’s Channel entrance at the Convention Center boating docks.
